Self-propelled remote-controlled flail mower BG1800 Hydromega

The BG 1800 flail-track mower is a machine powered by two combustion engines designed to drive the tracks via a hydraulic system and to drive the cutting unit (beaters), reaching a speed of 2860 rpm and a working speed of up to 8 km/h. The mowing unit drive is transmitted by a pulley with a centrifugal clutch on the engine shaft and a belt transmission. The mower on the tracked chassis is powered by a hydraulic system and hydraulic motors. The cutting height is corrected by hydraulic cylinders powered by the hydraulic system.

The mower is designed for mowing (cutting + shredding) grass, wasteland, bushes, regrowth and self-seeding plants, for work on highway and railway slopes, ski slopes. It has the ability to mulch brushwood in agriculture, horticulture and forestry. It can be used to maintain green municipal infrastructure. The machine is also used for the reclamation of meadows in undeveloped areas with the intention of leaving a swath, for the destruction of residues (stalks) left in the fields, e.g. after corn cultivation. A machine of this type has two functions - mowing and simultaneously shredding the mown material - which allows for the mineralization of plant residues and re-application to the soil.

The caterpillar drive of the mower allows for work in wet, marshy terrain, with a surface inclination of up to 40 degrees. The cutting part of the mower is flail knives on the cutting shaft. The system of 22 knives (18063-RM-64) allows for cutting and shredding bushes, shrubs, self-seeded trees with a stem diameter of up to 5 cm.
